“A Message from the Students of Notre Dame” :30 University TV Ad

The University of Notre Dame needed an “institutional message” to air during college football’s BCS title game, but only had a short window of available pre-production and production time to work with.  They gave us a call to produce the television spot…and 3 camera crews, 400 student extras, 600 real and CG candles, and only 2.5 pre-production days later, this college television commercial was born!

Notre Dame Video: African Scholars

The Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program at the University of Notre Dame needed a unique video for a specific audience: young Africans thinking of coming to the States.  Our creative idea was to capture Kaykay, Jason and Gerie, three young African Scholars in HYSP, riffing on food, American football, and life as students during a typical day at Notre Dame. Talent Made Here and One Lucky Guitar needed to tell the story of people who never quite finished college, for a variety of reasons. Using a mix of on-camera talent speaking to camera and ‘web cam’ first-person speakers, we put together this :30 HD Television Commercial, part of a two-spot campaign.

As the public culmination of their “Peace by Peace” campaign, this series of creative television spots features a letter written to a public figure, and the actual student who wrote the letter reading excerpts. Goshen College is a small liberal arts college with a big story, and they needed to communicate this story to three different audiences: alumni, students, and potential students. “Student Stories”, which premiered during the Super Bowl, was designed to use current students to persuade potential students with the reasons Goshen College has provided a perfect fit.
